Our Governors

Governors help to make school policy, they must meet at least once a term and may serve for a four year period. Governors have legal duties, powers and responsibilities, they can only act together, they cannot act as individuals.

My name is Carl Skerritt. I have been a school Governor at Titchmarsh School since October 2008 and at Warmington School since 2016.  I am currently Chair of Governors at both schools, a member of the Resources Committees and subject Governor with responsibilty for Maths across both schools.  I hold a management position within Information Technology for a major utility company.

I am passionate for small village schools to remain successful and popular.  Both schools are very individual but share the same benefits of their great reputation, small class sizes, welcoming, and each child being known and supported to achieve their potential.

I am a governor because I want to to help support, and be involved with the schools, to help ensure that the excellent work already achieved is maintained and the schools continues to thrive; providing a great environment for the children to learn and develop important skills and values for their future.

I am also a volunteer coding club organiser at Vivacity Libraries.  I will support the Governors with my knowledge of safeguarding and statutory reporting. I think Warmington is a great place for learning, and look forward to supporting it on its current journey to outstanding status without compromising on its character as a welcoming, friendly, and above all inclusive village school.

I applied to be a parent governor because I believe that all children have the right to a good education and children should be supported to reach their full potential.  My children both attend Warmington School and I want to help to make the school the best that it can be for all children.
I am a senior manager for the local authority in Peterborough, where I have worked across a number of areas including community safety, child safeguarding and child poverty.  I want to utilise my work experience to help to shape the school's strategy, question where appropriate and to support the leadership team to achieve the school's vision and ethos.

We have lived in Warmington since March 2016, our son attended pre-school and is now in Foxes, we recognised from a very early stage what a special place the school and all of the people in it are, we have received great support and a very warm welcome since day one, when I saw that there was an opportunity to give something back I felt obliged to do so.

I am an engineering manager now working at a senior regional level and have gained much experience over my career particularly in training and development which is something that is very important to me, I have spent a considerable amount of time working to develop and support apprenticeships.  I am also a qualified Health and Safety Manger, with responsibility for managing risk in dangerous working environment, alongside this, I manage budgetary requirements for multiple 3rd party contracts.

I am a Senior Manager in the Civil Service and I have a son at Warmington School. He has flourished since he joined the school 18 months ago, after moving him away from an extremely large primary school. I feel he is now receiving a personal and bespoke education, in a warm friendly environment.

Because Warmington School is so small, the success of each and every child matters - which is why I am so confident in the education they are receiving. All the teachers and staff at Warmington school are excellent and passionate about what they do. I feel very lucky that my son is receiving such a wonderful education here, and that I am able to use my experience to assist wherever possible.

My name is Mikayla Aldous and I am proud to be the class teacher to Red Kites class, Year 5 and 6. I have lived in the local area since I went to Primary school myself and attended OKCMS and Prince William School. I enjoyed growing up within this community. I trained as a teacher at Oxford Brookes University and after teaching in a small Oxfordshire village school, I was ready to come back to the local area.

I am excited to work with the Executive Head teacher to build upon the excellent foundations firmly in place at Warmington School. I wanted to support the school further by joining the governing body.
